CIQ LOCATION GUIDE

Test the route—not only the distance

Project material describes an approximately 650-metre sheltered pedestrian connection to JB CIQ. The lived experience still needs a personal check.

What the distance does and does not tell you

A short stated distance can be useful, but it does not capture lifts, crossings, gradients, crowding, luggage, weather, accessibility or checkpoint queues. Use the project figure as a starting point and walk the full route yourself.

Walk it at realistic times

Try the journey when you are likely to arrive and leave. Note lighting, shelter continuity, signs, access-card requirements and whether the route feels comfortable with children, older relatives or luggage.

Separate station travel from border processing

Transport journey times do not include every stage of immigration, security, waiting or the walk to the residence. When planning work or appointments, use a range rather than a single best-case number.

The latest joint Malaysia–Singapore announcement targets RTS passenger service for February 2027, subject to safety certification and final regulatory approvals.

Check alternative routes

Ask what happens during maintenance, temporary closures or heavy rain. Identify taxi and vehicle access points, pickup restrictions and how a visitor unfamiliar with the development would reach the correct lobby.

Use the viewing as a route test

A useful viewing should include the actual lobby, lift, chosen unit and the pedestrian journey toward CIQ. Record the time, but also note comfort, clarity and how the route feels after a long day.

Make the route and the home real

Shortlist suitable layouts, inspect the actual view and experience the CIQ journey before deciding.
